KAISER ROLLS $1.00
HORMEL LITTLE SIZZLE SAUSAGE $2.99 (not pictured due to little helpers moving faster then I realized)
Once the cashier totaled me, the register took off $6.08 for the tombstone pizza deal (buy 4 for $9.98) and $6.68 off for the Coke deal (buy 4 for $8.88). You must buy 4 – no more no less – for those deals to work. Then I used the coupons from the flier in Wednesday’s paper (the really good coupons were not available at the store, I asked). The coupons were:
- Buy one bacon get another bacon and the sausage free
- Buy 1 portabella 2pk get 2 free
- $5.00 off $50.00 purchase.
My manufacturer coupons were $1.50 off 2 pure bars (I had 2 coupons so they were $ .25 each), $1.00 off South Beach Pizza ( I used 2 of those so the pizza’s were $1.00 each and I got $1.00 back for my next purchase). I had $1.00 off the Dove ice cream, making it $1.88 and $ .55 off the Hormel.
My total was $52.68 for over $133.63 worth of groceries. I saved 80.95!!
They also have a great deal going on for short ribs of buy 1 get 2 free. They average around $17.00 each and you pay the highest price and get the other 2 free. This would have been a budget breaker for us so I passed.
How I’ll use it (ingredients not bought today are posted in previous shopping trips):
- The pizza I’ll combine with a salad for a quick dinner on gymnastic nights. That’s 4 separate meals right there.
- We’ll have breakfast for dinner with the eggs and bacon (can do this twice).
- I’ll use frozen chicken and the mushrooms, with a little spinach thrown in, over pasta. I make it in a brown gravy and the kids love it.
- Hot dogs and Mac & cheese with corn ( I’ll freeze one pack of hot dogs and can make the same meal again a different time).
