Anyone can have a garden

Yes, it’s true. If you want a garden you can have one, and I’m going to show you a really easy way to do it. I would love to have a big garden. I just don’t have the time and living in Florida and it can be very hard to have a garden. We have a lot of critters around our property that love to get their hands on any fruits or vegetables we try to grow.
My solution to that has been to grow larger plants in pots. We have a pineapple plant that we started in a pot and get lots of great pineapples from. We also put our lemon and lime trees into pots. It makes it easy to move them around when we get cold weather or if an animal starts to take a liking to it.

When it comes to smaller plants I didn’t want to have a bunch of small pots all over the place, so my mom came up with this great idea. We buy the plants and the potting soil (you can use seeds if you prefer), but instead of transferring them to the ground for a garden we use the potting soil bag.

Cut the bag and transfer your plants however you want. Take the whole top out or cut little holes like we did. Do a whole bag of just tomato plants or put different plants together. Whatever works best for you. Once you’ve planted your veggies or herbs, it is really easy to maintain them. You just want to be sure they are getting the right amount of water and sunlight. No need to weed or do much else.
Now you have no excuses. It doesn’t matter how much space you have, you can do this using one small bag of soil or many large bags. It’s a very economical way to grow your own produce. We have had great success with tomatoes, strawberries, herbs, radishes and flowers. This year we are trying carrots & lima beans as well, I’ll let you know how that goes. Happy planting.
