Beware of Going out of Business Sales

Posted on | November 26, 2008 | No Comments

I was watching the news last night and they had a segment on that was really interesting.  When large companies (like Linens-N-Things and Circut City) go out of business they have blowout sales and sell everything.  A liquidation company comes in and takes over and prices all the merchandise.  Most times they raise the prices.

Not all Circut City stores are going out of business so the news story bought the same item at a liquidation store and a regular store.   The item was cheaper at the regular store!!!  These liquidation companies raise the price and give you a percentage off that makes you think you are getting a bargain, when you are really not.  So know your prices before you shop at a liquidation/going out of business sale.
