BJ’s Wholesale Club Bargain

Every BJ’s is different, so call ahead to see if your store has the same sale.  Guess how much I paid for 2 lbs of Sorrento Mozzarella & 3 lbs of Sorrento Ricotta?  The original price was $5.99 each ($11.98 for both).  My store had a $2.00 instant rebate at check out, making them $3.99 each ($7.98 for both).  Not bad, but you know I did better.

In the coupon book that BJ’s mails out (if you didn’t get it, just ask for one at the customer service desk – they give them out while supplies last) there is a coupon for $5.00 off when you buy any 2 Sorrento products.  So my bargain of the week is that I paid $1.49 each ($2.98 for both).  I didn’t realize just how good the deal was until I got home, so I’ll be stopping in for more when I have to pass by there later today.  Can you freeze Ricotta?

I have frozen both sour cream and cottage cheese before, and both came out grainy and unusable. However, you could make up a bunch of lasagnas and freeze those!! :)

    Kim,
Thanks for the info! I was afraid it would change the texture if I froze it. Lasagna and baked Ziti here I come:)!
