Facebook Fan Pages

There are a ton of Facebook opportunities out there these days. Most of them are simple – you become a fan of a page you get something free in return. The problem I want to make you aware of is that many of these opportunities have limits on them and they only give out a certain number of freebies.

For example there is a link for the Vitamin Water fan page posted all over the past few days. The site says if you sign up you get a free bottle of Vitamin water. Well the terms are the first 100,000 who sign up, and the page has well over one million fans already. This deal was dead before many people even posted on it and this is not the first time I’ve seen this happen.

If you love the products you are signing up for great, but if you only sign up for many of these things for the freebies ( that would be me) you are stuck waiting for something that never comes. Then I you get annoyed that I you signed up as a fan and had to read their updates. Most website shut the deal down when they get to their limit or are overwhelmed with requests, but I’ve noticed that fan pages often don’t follow these rules. So if your looking to sign up for something, just take a few extra seconds to check the limits and number of fans to see if the deal is still valid.
