Sorry I did my shopping so late this week, but you still have time to run out if you want to grab a few of these deals.  While I did really well and got some great deals, I know there are a few items that I could have purchased for less elsewhere.  Before you yell at me for wasting money, hear me out.  There is a method to my madness.

I’m trying to minimize my shopping.  If I were to go to another store to pick up items I may save a dollar or two, but the truth is that I wouldn’t just stick to those few items.  I would see other things we “need” or find a good deal that I can’t pass up and before you know it there goes another $30.  By only going to Publix this week I stocked up on the good deals and will use some of what I bought with what I already have on hand and we will be fine.

I purchased $122.47 worth of groceries for $53.84, that’s a savings of $68.63!  Here are some of the best deals I took advantage of:

Strawberries 3 for $5.00.

Quaker Granola bars buy one get one free at $2.99.  Use coupons from the 2/14 RP ($0.75/2 and $1/2).  Final price as low as $1.00 each.

Totinos Pizza Rolls BOGO $3.99 (I heat these in the morning and put them in thermos’ for some variety in the kids lunch and they love it). $2.00 each.

Hormel Completes BOGO $2.49 (I used a $2.00 off coupon that Hormel had sent me when I complained about a bad product). You can use the $1.00 off 2 coupon from the 2/7 SS to get a final price of $0.75 each.

Aunt Jemima frozen confetti pancakes BOGO $2.69. $1.35 each.

Aunt Jemima syrup BOGO $3.79.  Use coupon from RP 1/3 ($1/2).  Final price $1.40 each.

Kraft dressing BOGO $3.19. $1.00 off coupon in the game day greats booklet to make them $1.10 each.

Thomas’ English muffins BOGO $1.99.  There is a $1.00 off the honey wheat variety  in the Feb. All You to make these $1.00 each.

Bertolli pasta sauce BOGO $2.69.  There are varying coupons in the 2/14 RP, mine was for $0.60 off one so by using two I paid $0.75 each.

Dole Ready Made salad BOGO $3.49.  There were $1.00 off coupons right in front of the bags so by using two I paid $0.75 each.

Toufayan Pitas BOGO $1.29 which comes to $0.65 each.  These freeze really well if you want to stock up.

Edy’s Ice cream BOGO $5.29.  Use coupons for $1.00 off one in the 1/31 SS orthe $2/2 from the school day’s home mailer.  As low as $1.65 each.
