Ridemakerz

One of the perks of blogging is that from time to time companies send me products to check out.   I was so lucky to have been chosen to try out a new RIDEMAKERZ car.  With the holidays right around the corner I wanted to let you know about this, as it would make a great gift. As you can see from the little hands in the picture my son could not wait to play with it.  He bugged my husband to put it together from the minute it arrived until he finally gave in.

When we opened the box and saw how excited my son was my husband and I both looked at each other and said what a great idea.  This is one of those ideas you want to kick yourself for not thinking of first.  And the fact that it caters to boys is just so smart.  I can’t think of anything else out there right now that’s mainly for boys, yet there is tons of stuff for girls.

The concept of is like that of Build-A-Bear.  You pick all the parts that you want and customize the car to your liking.  RIDEMAKERZ sent the kit to us, so we didn’t get to pick stuff out.  If you order online from their site you can let your kids pick out all the parts to build the car the way they want.  RIDEMAKERZ only has about 12 stores right now, but if there is one near you they are really cool.  Although it was a lot of fun to put it together at home, my husband and son would love to go there and do this again.  I know how nice it is when I take the girls places and bond with them (I bet it would be a great place for birthday parties too).

RIDEMAKERZ RIDEZ can be assembled in minutes with a hex wrench tool that looks like an ignition key, and snap-in, snap-on parts, so the kids can do a lot of it themselves.  Each RIDE can be taken apart and reconfigured — basic models can be updated, decals repositioned; sounds tires and chassis changed.  The car has everything, lights, sound, remote control, special wheels, and other accessories.  My husband put it together with my son and nephews who are 6, 4 & 2.  Although the package recommended 6 and up (some smaller parts recommended 8 and up) the boys all had a great time putting it together and driving it around the house.

While some of the options can be expensive, you choose what you want to do and how much you want to spend.  You can get the experience and not have to spend a fortune.  YOU CAN GET $10 OFF A $30 ORDER BY ENTERING CODE 93460.  THIS OFFER EXPIERS JANUARY 4TH, 2009 so take advantage of it now if you are interested. If you are looking for something different or special to do with your kids check out RIDEMAKERZ.  It’s a great way for parents or grandparents to bond with the kids and make some memories.
