Some Interesting tidbits

I was watching the Today show and they had some interesting tips. I think they were from the accidental housewife. If you didn’t get to see it here are some of my favorites:
Grass stains – Use vodka, it will lift out grass stains. Use a straw to pour some on the spot and dab, don’t rub the stain.
Broken glass - To pick up the small shards that you might miss or not even see, use bread. Gently press the bread on the area and it will pick up the tiny pieces, then toss it out.
Blood stains – Use your spit or hydrogen peroxide. Again, use a straw (makes it easier to dispense the right amount) and dab.
Getting stickers off glass – If you have ever bought drinking glasses with price stickers you know what a pain this can be. Boil some white wine in the microwave (be super careful) and put the glass in it. Sticker will slide right off.
Red wine stain – Use Purell and cold water. Dabbing works best. Don’t forget that you should never put clothes into the dryer until you have totally removed the stain. Once it goes in the dryer, the stain sets and getting it out is almost impossible.
Rust Stains in the toilet – This one is a little disturbing, use cola in the tank (one or two cans) and it will remove rust stains.
