TJ Maxx

My mom and dad took our kids for the day so hubby and I were able to get some last minute errands done.  I had my gift card from TJ Maxx burning a hole in my pocket so I ran there to spend it.  Probably shouldn’t have brought the hubby, he was like a kid in a candy store with everything he wanted to get. I resisted temptation and didn’t buy any holiday decorations, but if you need any take a trip to TJ Maxx now.  They had almost all their holiday decorations on clearance already with an additional 25% off.

The tall silver stand is for storing toilet paper.  I am hoping that if I leave it in the kids bathroom, they will be inspired to change the roll when they run out (now we store the extra rolls on a high shelf they can’t reach).  Usually if there is no paper left in one bathroom, they move on to a different bathroom until the paper runs out there as well.

I also got a great deal on the frame.  It wasn’t even on sale and it was only $4.99!  It is for an 8×10 photo and is a great quality frame.  The price tag says the price anywhere else would be around $8, but I’ve been looking for frames and that price is more like $12-$16!

The best deal was the Nike shorts, only $3.00!  I splurged on the socks (we are a little obsessed with how comfortable slipper socks are and are giving them to everyone this year) and bought one last gift.

Nike girls shorts $3.00 (reg. $25)
Frame for 8×10 photo $4.99 (reg. $8 – but I think it’s really more:))
Fancy slipper socks $3.99 (reg. $6.99)
Toilet paper holder $4.99 (reg. $12)
Slipper sock & Lavender butter cream $6.99 ($12)

So before tax I spent $23.96 for $63.99 worth of merchandise.

I saved $40.03!

You really can’t beat the prices at TJ Maxx (or, as I recently learned, Marshalls). Especially for brand name items. As you know I shop for bargains all year long, and I get some of the best deals at TJ Maxx. I took presents out of my closet to wrap yesterday and we wouldn’t be able to give such nice gifts if we had to pay for them elsewhere. TJ Maxx can be hit or miss, so if you haven’t had luck there give it another shot. Sometimes you need to have a little patience, but it’s well worth it.
