Valentines Day Clearance

I didn’t do any shopping today, I’m planning on going out tomorrow. With Valentines day over, I’m sure the clearance sales are in full force. I just thought I’d let you know what I will be stocking up on.I have three kids so everything I do has to be multiplied by three and believe me that adds up. If I had to pay full price for just valentines it would run me between $10 and $12 and that would be for the plain ones (to give out at school). After every holiday I try to stock up on items that I can store for a year and will still be good.

Of course I would love to get everything at 90% off, but we all know that ain’t gonna happen. At 50% off I only buy what I know will go fast. I keep my receipt just in case I get the same item at 75% off so I can return the one at 50% off.

Things I will try to get are some good valentines to hand out at school. Since I won’t give out year old candy (although goodness knows how old any candy is when you buy it) I look for the valentines that come with pencils or other non perishable items. I also look for toys or stationary that is on clearance.

If you like decorations it’s a great time to stock up on them. I have red and gold wrapping and tissue paper left over from last year so you might want to stock up on that as well. They make all kinds of things for holidays that then go on clearance, so I always check for tissues, paper towels, saran wrap, Ziploc bags, food items etc…. that might also be on clearance. You usually find the best deals on those kind of items.

I will also check out the t-shirts and clothes. This year we gave our girls the cutest t-shirts that I picked up for about $1.00 last year. I just keep the items in a plastic bag and store them in my closet. It doesn’t take up much room and saves a fortune. So if you are out and about this week, check and see if they have anything you can get cheap and put away for another time.
