Walgreens 2/28-3/6

I have to say that I am really loving Walgreen’s these days, and it’s not just the sales. The people that work at 2 of the stores I go to are just amazing. They are happy to help you get the best deals. One of the stores actually has a coupon exchange on Wednesdays and has a table near the cosmetics check out with baskets of coupons. Finally a store that gets it, customers who use coupons are just as valuable as the ones that don’t.
Here’s what I bought this week:
Purex 3-in1 sheets $4.50
Purex 3-in1 sheets $4.50
Altoids $0.59
Altoids $0.59
Tylenol PM $2.99
Tylenol PM $2.99
Lady Speed Stick $1.99
Kotex $2.99
Kotex $2.99
Cottonelle $5.99
Sandwich ziploc bags 50 ct $1.99
($32.11)
Coupons I used:
-$1.00 in-ad coupon for sandwich bags
-$1.50 March wags booklet coupon for Tylenol PM
-$1.50 March wags booklet coupon for Tylenol PM
-$2.00 Tylenol PM coupon (found at the doctors office)
-$2.00 Tylenol PM coupon (found at the doctors office)
-$1.00 Kotex coupon from free samples I requested in the mail
-$1.00 Cottonelle All You Feb. Magazine
-$4.50 Purex Bogo coupon from 2/21 RP
($14.50)
$17.61 – $12.50 in Register Rewards that I had = $5.11 (+tax) that I paid out of pocket. Then I got back the following RRs – $1.00 for Purex, $1.00 for Lady Speed Stick, $5.00 for the Kotex & Cottonelle.
Breakdown after coupons and RRs-
2 Purex 3-in-1 are $1.75 each ( I know that I can get a better deal on the liquid purex, but my girls like to help with the laundry and these make it easy).
2 Tylenol PM were free with $1.00 overage. You can do this deal using the coupon from 11/22 SS for $3 off 2 Motrin and the wags booklet coupon to get them free. Just be sure to use your MFG coupon before they scan the one from the coupon book for the deal to work.
If you divide the Kotex/Cottonelle deal evenly they come to $1.65 each.
I paid for the second Lady Speed stick in a seperate transaction and then received a $2.00 off 2 coupon for Lady speed Stick, so I bought 2 more and got another $2.00 off coupon and got another 2. So all total I bought 6 @ 1.99 = $11.94 – $4.00 in coupon = $7.94. Then I got back $4.00 in RRs (when I bought 2 at once to use the coupon I only got $1.00 back) making it $3.94 for 6 or $0.65 each.
