Walgreen’s

My Walgreen’s trip didn’t go exactly as planned. They were out of a lot, so I had to get rain checks. I was able to buy a few things, did well and was happy. I submitted my EasySaver rebate online and it was just that, easy. Now that I understand their system better it is not as intimidating, so I will absolutely take advantage when they have great deals from now on.
I bought:
Tic Tac’s $0.25 (It was a bribe as I had 2 of my kids with me. Worth every penny.).
2 Garnier Shampoo’s $0.99 each (used a rain check).
2 Pledge Fabric Sweeper for pet hair $3.50 each. Then I used 2 printable coupons from here for $2.00 each. The EasySaver rebate I submitted was for $2.00. So the math is $7.00 – $4.00 in coupons = $3.00 or $1.50 each. The EasySaver rebate is for $2.00 which will make them $0.50 each.
I had that $3.00 register reward so my total out of pocket was only $2.83 and I still get that $2.00 back in rebates.
We don’t have pets, but the Sweepers are great for people hair and other little things that get stuck to your couches. My kids also thought it was cool and spent quite a bit of time using one to clean for me yesterday!

Good Job….glad you finally dove in and tested the waters. To bad there are pretty convincing rumors that they are going to end/replace the Easy Saver program. Doesn’t that just figure. LOL

Collette,
I have been hearing those rumors for a while too, it does figure. I’ll just take advantage until it runs out and I’m guessing they will have to do something to still compete with CVS. At least I hope so:)

You can “make money” on the Walgreen’s rebate program by checking to put your rebate on your Walgreen’s gift card. That way they pay you 10% extra. You can always use it on food staples, gifts, makeup or medicine.
It used to pay the postage (and then some!) but now you get to keep it all – since you can submit your rebates online!

Cindy,
That’s what I did! I submitted online and picked the card. The extra 10% is a great bonus.
I really wish I would have started sooner, I hate knowing I missed out on so much:)
