Walgreen’s

It’s definitely a love/hate relationship with me and Wags. I had a good experience at my regular store, but they were out of a lot. I stopped at a second store on my way to pick up the kids, it was ridiculous and I ended up leaving my stuff and walking out (very nicely with no drama). I tried to do the exact same scenario I had done at my store, but the coupons wouldn’t scan and the cashier wouldn’t fix it or call a manager. Frankly, I didn’t have the patience. For any printable coupons and more possible scenarios click here.
This is what I did:
Transaction #1
Nivea Body Wash $4.99
Ecotrin low dose $2.00
Bayer Asprin Quick Release $2.49
Used coupons
-$1.00 off Bayer (from display found at checkout of store) I had to use this one first or it wouldn’t take.
-$3.00 Register Reward (RR) from Skintimate deal last week.
-$2.25 printable on Ecotrin (no longer available).
$2.23 + $0.33 tax = $2.56 out of pocket. I earned back the following RR’s for next time: $5.00 for the Nivea, $2.00 for the Ecotrin, $2.50 for the Bayer ($9.50 total).
Transaction #2
Ecotrin low dose $2.00
Bayer Asprin Quick Release $2.49
Used coupons
-$1.00 off Bayer (from display found at checkout of store) I had to use this one first or it wouldn’t take.
-$2.25 printable on Ecotrin (no longer available).
$1.24 out of pocket. I earned back the following RR’s for next time: $2.00 for the Ecotrin & $2.50 for the Bayer ($4.50 total). Plus a coupon printed out for $2.00 off Ecotrin that I will try to use later in the week.
Transaction #3
Bayer Asprin Quick Release $2.49
3 Campbells chicken noodle soup $1.39 each
Used coupons
-$1.00 off Bayer (from display found at checkout of store).
-$2.23 Wags coupon from flier for the soup.
-$3.00 Register Reward from Skintimate deal last week.
$0.26 out of pocket. I earned back $2.00 in RR.
So the total of todays transactions: $4.07 spent out of pocket and $14.00 earned in RR’s.
